Public Workshop on Blairgowrie & Rattray Access to Services

“Older / Isolated people: Can you easily access everything you need in the Town Centre?”

BRCC alongside Perth and Kinross Council are running a study that will consider how the Town Centre could work better for everyone.

The working group composed of Perth and Kinross Council, NHS, BRCC, Age Scotland and local residents has recently been convened to help identify if older people who may be living alone, those that are housebound or those that run local groups may have difficulty in accessing the services and shops they need.

To support this group, a specific workshop is being held at the Town Hall on Tuesday 1st March 2016 from 10:30am to 12:00 noon to focus on the Town Centre area of the settlement.

We’d like your help in understanding the following:

What services and shops do you want to use in the Town Centre?

When do you want to use them?

What travel options do you have?

The working group will go on to consider the wider settlement in due course but understanding the Town Centre is the first step.

If you cannot make this time, the study team will be available at the Town Hall for the following times to listen but without the benefit of the working group:

Monday 29th February: 11am – 8pm

Tuesday 1st March 2016: 9am – 8pm

Wednesday 22nd March: 9am – 8pm

Thursday 3rd March 2016: 9 am – 12:30 pm
