Blairgowrie & Rattray Access Network – BRAN. Work party report and general update.
A group of four volunteers was out on Friday 10th June along the River Ericht Path.
Two continued the strimming work on the Rosemount side of the river, growth along the bund wall section has been phenomenal in the recent few weeks with sections up to shoulder high. There remain about 500mtrs to strim before there can be unrestricted access to this popular path.
The other two carried out an inspection along the Rattray side of the river Ericht and noted that sections would require attention in the near future.
Before this during the week two members continued the strimming work and were also able to carry out some much needed grass cutting thanks to Ally Donald who had obtained a power rotary machine for the group.
BRAN is now has its own storage facility, again thanks to Ally and this is now installed in a secure compound. We thank the management of Tayside Contracts for providing a suitable location.
The group will be out on the River Ericht path again this coming Saturday, 18th June. Details will be posted to members during the week. Anyone else who would like to help on this or on future occasions is asked to contact the secretary Ian Richards (by e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01250 871122).
