Our Growing Town

The time to comment on how our town grows and develops is now.

There is only 2 weeks left until the consultation period is over so get the kettle on and get your opinion registered either online or on paper.

Whatever it is that you’d like to comment on, be it the new location of the second cemetary, the proposed infrastructure, entertainment facilities, out of town shopping, community spaces, cycle path network, make sure you make time to get your feedback to them.

Top Tip: The online form has to be completed in one go so you should have your comments prepared in advance.

Alternatively you can e-mail your comment direct by clicking DevelopmentPlan@pkc.gov.uk

  1. The biggest problem in Blairgowrie is ‘traffic’, too many vehicles are being led a merry dance through the town and, with larger and larger HGV’s trying to negotiate sharp bends (Reform Street/ Perth Road) we are in danger of having a serious accident. The planned housing developments will only add to the problems and it seems that PKC are turning a blind eye to this. Dare I say it that Blair needs a bye-pass over a new bridge to take those HGV’s not delivering into Blair, away from the town. Inadequate parking in Blair needs to be addressed and I would like to see a multi-storey car park built in the old Tesco car park. This would not be obtrusive and would not look out of place in this location.
Another plan missing in Blair is commercial development. What are PKC doing to encourage firms into the area rather than the current trend to have Blair as a commuter town, feeding Dundee and Perth!
